What happens in a Go Wisely Discovery Session?

A Go Wisely Discovery Session is a free 30-minute conversation about where AI fits in your business. There is no pitch and no obligation.

The purpose of the session

The Discovery Session is the starting point for all Go Wisely client work, including 1:1 coaching. It is an honest conversation about your business and where AI could help, not a sales presentation. It runs on a video call, or in person by arrangement.

Expect to talk about what your business does, what prompted you to look at AI now, how your team uses it today and what concerns you. The aim is to understand your situation well enough to give you a useful view within 30 minutes.

How to prepare

You do not need to prepare anything, but a little thought beforehand makes the half hour go further.

  • What prompted you: Note what made you book. It might be a client question, unused licences, a competitor, or staff using tools without guidance.

  • Where time goes: Think of two or three tasks that take your team a lot of time and feel repetitive.

  • What is already in use: List any AI tools people use, officially or not. Knowing this early changes the conversation.

  • Your worries: If confidentiality, staff reaction or regulation concerns you, say so. These shape what a sensible next step looks like.

If you want a structured view beforehand, the AI Readiness Scorecard takes about eight minutes and covers the same six areas Go Wisely assesses.

What you leave with

By the end of the 30 minutes you should have three things.

  • An honest view of where AI fits: A candid read on where AI could make a real difference in your business and where it probably will not.

  • One or two areas to look at first: Specific places to focus, rather than a long list of possibilities.

  • A clear recommendation on the next step: This may involve Go Wisely, another route, or simply some things to try yourself. Sometimes the honest answer is that you do not need Go Wisely yet, and you will be told that.

What happens next

Nothing, unless you decide it should. There is no obligation to buy anything after a Discovery Session, and no follow-up pressure.

If the next step does involve Go Wisely, it depends on what came up. For a business wanting a structured picture of where it stands, that is usually the AI Accelerator Diagnostic. For an individual, it may be 1:1 coaching. You decide whether and when to go ahead.

Who should attend

For a business, it helps if the person who joins can speak for the business's direction, usually the owner, managing director or another senior leader. One person is enough. If two of you want to join, that works too, especially if you see AI from different angles. For individuals considering coaching, the session is simply you and Go Wisely.
