Why?
Why Champions matter
Most AI training creates a spike of enthusiasm that fades within weeks. People return to old habits, the confident few pull ahead, and adoption stalls. Champions are what close that gap. They keep momentum alive between sessions, support the colleagues who are quietly stuck, and give leadership a feel for what's really happening on the ground.
Being good at AI isn't the same as being able to help others adopt it. Coaching a nervous colleague through their first prompt, running a short session, judging when something shouldn't go into an AI tool - these are different skills. This programme develops them.
What AI Champions do
Support colleagues day to day, without everything escalating to leadership
Share best practice across teams
Encourage sensible experimentation
Promote responsible, safe use
Help maintain momentum after the initial push
Surface real use cases from the work and feed them upward
Drive adoption in partnership with leadership
How does this work?
How the Champions Programme works
Four small-group sessions over six to eight weeks, with practical work between each. The spacing is deliberate - champions go and try helping a colleague, then come back to troubleshoot what happened. That gap between sessions is where the real learning lands.
The Champion's role
What the role is, what good adoption looks like, and deeper work on their own AI capability so they're credible with colleagues.
01
Helping others
Coaching and facilitation skills — how to support an anxious colleague, run a short session, and answer common questions without needing all the answers.
02
Responsible use and judgement
Governance in practical terms: what's safe, what isn't, how to make a call, and when to escalate. This is what lets leadership hand champions real influence.
03
Momentum and use cases
How to keep adoption alive, spot new use cases from the floor, and feed them back to leadership.
04
A light-touch follow-up keeps things on track after the sessions end, so the programme doesn't just stop.
Suitability
Is it right for you?
The Champions Programme isn't the right starting point for everyone, and it's better to be honest about that up front. Here's when it pays back, and when something else should come first.
This programme pays back when:
Your team has done some AI training and you want the momentum to last
You have people who are naturally enthusiastic and want to give them a real role
Adoption is sitting with a few enthusiasts and you want it to spread evenly
It's probably not the place to start if:
Your team hasn't had any structured AI training yet - a team programme comes first
You're looking for a technical build rather than people capability
You can't free up 3-5 people for a few hours across six to eight weeks.
Pricing
What does this cost?
The AI Champions Programme starts at £4,950, whether taken as an add-on to a team programme or as standalone work. That covers all four sessions, the practical support between them, and the light-touch follow-up. The exact shape is something to talk through in a Discovery Session - where we can also work out whether Champions is the right next step for your business, or whether something should come first.
